In Memory of Celeste

Celeste was an animal lover, particularly cats. Celeste volunteered at Woods Humane Society two different times - way back in 2009 over that summer. She was at some adoption events, helped in the Cattery, and eventually adopted our boy, Manny. Work got busy and it was harder to find the time. She tried volunteering again after she stopped working and at that point just did not have the strength to handle the chores that were needed. She never stopped donating, or encouraging those looking for a pet, to Woods. I have continued donating to Woods every month to honor her. With Celeste's birthday in two weeks I'm hoping to generate a larger donation on her behalf. If you feel inclined please make a donation. In the included photo is Celeste with Manny, way back when he was just a youngster and not the nearly 17 year old cat that he is now. Celeste was his human, he was often up against her or on her, he "talked" to her with purrs and meows that others did not get. In her absence I have relied on Manny to cheer me up and he has done his best. If she had not volunteered at Woods we may never have had him in our lives, he has been such a gift to us both.
