Two-year old Lucy moved from a Valley Shelter to Woods Humane Society and then to the "Winner's Circle" in a year. Upon rescue, she was fearfully timid, suffered multiple health disorders, and was untrained, but she exhibited her inner passion on the beach-running "full bore!" (An Apple air tag along with microchip sufficed to let us know initially if she'd run across county lines!) Lots of love, obedience classes, and healthy lifestyle changed her original rescue condition.
But what to do with that hew-found energy?? AKC's FastCat races for non-pedigree All American breeds was the answer to channeling her passion for speed! She has 9 qualifying races and has reached FastCatB certification with her best run over 25 mph over a 100-yard course. Please vote for Lucy crossing the Finish Line!
