Hey there! I’m Roo, but you may remember me as Nanobit.
Here’s my story: I was brought to Animal Services with a front leg that didn’t work, so I had to drag it along with me all the time. Nobody really knows what happened—some thought it was an injury, while others believed I was born that way. As a kitten, I was full of energy and wanted to play, so I just dragged my injured leg along as I moved. This constant dragging caused me to continuously re-injure my leg (road rash) that just wouldn’t heal!
Then, Woods Humane Society adopted me, and their amazing medical team decided that the best thing to do was to amputate the affected leg.
I am incredibly grateful to Animal Services, the wonderful supporters of Woods, the Woods Medical Team, and all the Woods staff! They all have been absolutely wonderful!! They have given me a second chance at life, and I am overjoyed!
I believe I am the luckiest kitten ever! They say good things happen in threes, and I had three incredible foster moms and I have three legs! Now, I live with my two brothers, and we are the three orange boys, having the time of our lives!
